Benchmarking study
The benchmarking study provides an evaluation of the readiness for CSSC technologies of the targeted cities selected by the CSSC project partners.
The evaluation is based on the current state on CSSC solutions implementation, type of technologies used and other information like legal framework supporting CSSC.
For the CSSC readiness grade there were considered:
- physical characteristics in the target city
- policy tools/financing in relation to CSSC domain at local level
- local examples of CSSC solutions providers
- existing municipal initiatives in energy storage and sector coupling
- strong presence of electromobility
- high-quality energy distribution networks (and district heating)
Points 5 and 6 are the hallmarks of a city ready to implement CSSC technologies with a significant impact on the local environment and beyond.
